We have just returned from our holiday in Devon! It was great!

4 days over...

I got a pang of shock and guilt when I realised when the current Poll closes my family and I will still be on holiday for then and 4 days after then! Unfortunately, if I cannot get access to the internet whilst there, you will have to wait for the answers and for the next poll. I am very sorry, especially to those who have voted. Everything will run as normal when I get chance to post the answers and info. As it will be a Friday when my family and I (as planned) return, another 1 day (which takes us to Sunday morning when I open a new 2 weekly poll and post regarding the last poll which closed) will have to go by to get us to the next poll. It will be a confusing time, but we will get back to normal soon. We will also be posting about our camping holiday when we return, so you have a few entries and photos (a lot of photos I am sure!!! Very sure!!!) to look forward to when we return. We are continuing the 2 weekly polls for the foreseeable future without a doubt so this confusing time will not make a single dint in the history of the 2 weekly polls.

Yummy chews

A friend brought Earl a pack of bone shaped chews today and earl has already had one! He really enjoyed it...

Apart from having to move in from out and out from in because of weather changes, they kept my boy quite quiet, haha!

Raw Food

Raw Food is the diet dogs used to eat years ago. It has now sprung back to life with present dog owners, it seems! Raw food comes Commercial, so that is ready made raw food (many being human grade quality!) and then you can also prepare raw DIY, where you prepare the raw at home for your dog(s) yourself.

Why feed Raw?

Many people believe that raw is the best way to feed a dog because it is the closest relative food to a dog's natural diet. It holds apparent benefits such as a glossier coat, cleaner teeth, and better overall health.

More on feeding Raw...

Like swapping to any other food, be that dry, wet, raw, mixed, or whatever (hopefully not anything other, for the sake of your dog!) you must ween your dog off the current food and onto the next very gradually. 

Raw food should show its benefits a short while after starting to feed it. Your dog will thrive on it, and love the taste! 

What should you do?

I would advise people hoping to move onto raw to talk to a vet about it, and make sure that a full raw diet will suit your dog. If raw gives your dog runny stools every time he/she toilets, raw is not the best idea and your dog might benefit more on a different diet.

New toy, new bag of Burns and walk

I have bought Earl (another!) toy today! It is from the Chuckit! range - it is the donut launcher! He now also has a new bag of Burns!  We also went for a long walk again today and stopped to sit by the mini beach for a while while Earl explored.
