E is for Excellence - A-Z

Today, (E day of the A-Z Blogging Challenge) we are sharing a post all about excellence… No joke! We were competing in an entire new level and not to toot our own horns, but I am dead impressed.




Today, Earl and I competed at Agility Nuts show again, for the nth and wonderful time! It was our very first competition in the new level, 'Starters', which we flew to after winning last season's first and foremost 'Elementary' group. We got a 2nd, 3rd, (both Clear) and another Clear, which we were 0.3 seconds away from a 3rd place! When we came 3rd, we were 1 second away from 1st place!! You see, we're working on Earl's tighter turns and lower jumps (he jumps higher than the jump bar itself…) so less time goes by for us! I am over the moon with his performance. His confidence was about sky high today. His first run was so fast, he jumped his A-Frame contact and literally jumped off the see-saw before it had eventfully dropped! His enthusiasm however really kept me smiling the whole run through. It was such an experience. All day round. We were EXCELLENT!

We also got 2 PAWsome medal/trophies for our 2nd and 3rd placings! :3

Earl is super pleased with himself!

And, big news! OMD!! We have added a WHOLE new display board to our 3 boards! 

And newly updated trophies/medals shelves (note the extra top shelf now coming in handy!).

EXCELLENCE was shown here!

D is for Dragon - Paws Up! Its Friday!

Its Friday once again, so PAWS UP! It is also D-day (BOL!) of the A-Z Blogging Challenge.

So just a quick heads paws up, I have TWO ENTIRE weeks free of school due to the FAB Easter Holidays. Thank you so much Easter!!! So blog posts will be coming in the morning for a change, as much as possible!

So, today, I officially DRAGONED my dog.

So understandably proud...

You LOVE it, don't you Earl!… Yes, um, Earl? Yes. Wait, Earl? Earllll???

Ah. I see where our Earl went.

Sure mum, whatEVS.

Yeah.

So Earl's fur really is fuzzy. But this is for a very valid reason. You see, every now and again most wire coated dogs, mainly terriers, including Earl here, need their coats stripping. This removes the LOOSE coat, but keeps the undercoat on. Then it grows back for winter. Hand stripping keeps the dog nice and COOL in the summer, and will grow back in time for winter if done round about now per year for dogs who need stripping once per year. Earl is booked in for in a couple of weeks time. His breeder will do it professionally herself. And we may even get to see some….. ready for this?…. PUPPIES!!!!!!!!!

C is for Cats (well, sort of!) - A-Z

Its the 3RD day of the A-Z Blogging Challenge today, and its the letter C for us all! For us, C stands for Cats. But there is a slight twist to today's cats and Earl… You'll see!!

So, today, Earl did some reading. He put his glasses on and EVERYTHING. It was hilarious fun!

And, oh? Earl, you may want to adjust those again… Can you see straight at that book like that?!

And what was Earl reading? Nothing but the Encyclopaedia Of Dogs! (On the page about food and bones…). Obviously.

...Earl got bought some new flavoured tennis balls...
