Joint best EVER Competition! (Sepia Sat)

Earl and I are both thrilled to be announcing that we, today, have experienced the joint best ever agility competition for us personally! Why? You'll see!

Today, we managed to grab up TWO 1st places, one for Agility, and one for a fun class, 'Power and Speed', the first 5 good seconds in the lead, the other 4, and our other 2 were also lovely clears, just shy of a place. Two clear 1st's and others clear is what we got at a previous KC show - our best success in our competitive history - and re-achieved that again today, at a different show! All 4 clear rounds! Cooler than cool to us!!

Good lad, little fella!

As always (no difference here, but still…) Earl is getting 100% attention tonight - I even gave him a celebratory chicken nugget.

This is how our UPDATED board and medal/trophy display are shaping up:

But don't forget to check out all our other full-to-the-brim award displays, HERE on our official page for awards!

We're really upping the

s

now!

So, for our Sepia Saturday contribution…

Earl is getting plenty of belly tickles tonight!

*High paw/five* Earl, we did it again!!

We're joining the Sepia Saturday Blog Hop hosted by Ruckus The Eskie - thanks again, pal!

We had such fun today - even if you don't have a competition level dog, or a dog at all but adore dogs left, right, centre, AND diagonal, visit a show or competition! Whether that be agility, or another sport/event to do with dogs - being there is so exciting and fulfilling to experience.

Paws Up! Its Friday! - Dog Vision

We have recently been reading quite a bit about how dogs see and how it differs to that of human sight.

It all started with a dog magazine article, and then we were playing around on the website Dog Vision and created this:

This is how dogs, apparently, see the world!

Compared to this, which is how we see the world:

Clever, and so interesting!

Please forget the myth that dogs see in black and white - that's not true, and like I have just said, it is a myth indeed. I got this from dog behaviourist Karen Wild, through a publication article.

You can make your own photos look like dog's vision, by visiting THIS page and uploading your photo to see interesting changes!

We would be taking part in the Pet Parade Blog Hop, however, due to the Blog Paws conference, and a host and many linkers being there this week, the other hosts have decided to have the week off.

But of course its still Paws Up! Its Friday! time, which is an EW special occurrence to celebrate Friday, and NOT a blog hop at present.

Thoughtless Thursday - A-Z reflection & who are we supporting?

Today, we logged into Blogger, Earl and I, and found a post from one of our favourite blogs - they had participated today in the A-Z reflection! So that is just what we are going to do, along with Ruckus and Jenna for Thoughtless Thursday. We'll also be telling you a little bit about our new 'Shouting about it' opportunity for people with pet products/businesses to work with EW. We have some great new partners, read on further to check them out! But more on that later, lets get back to A-Z first and foremost...

This was our first ever year doing the Blogging from A-Z April Challenge, and we've loved every letter!!

We came across lots of new blogs via it, and we've had many, MANY more hits, shares and comments because of it. I am thrilled to see that those new people have stuck by our blog even after A-Z has gone by… and we have stuck by them too. We LOVE YOU ALL, readers!

Some of the later letters were slightly harder to think up, but we managed to get each and every post out there on the day, on time. We also did quite a few of our posts for A-Z the evening before, just to be prepared. Even THAT can get really stressful, and sometimes worrying and hard to do!! Especially if you've been having a few busy days and were needing to do 2 posts that evening, one for the current day and one for the next day! Phew! But we did it, we did it!

Thank you to SlimDoggy for hosting the A-Z letters link up, which we didn't miss linking to ONCE!

AND, we'd like to thank http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/ themselves for such a PAWsome and awesome for those non-pet bloggers, challenge!

Round of apPAWS for Jack and  everyone!!

Now, an even LARGER reflection for us today, would and will be to post all of our A-Z posts along with their links (a long job!), here, which will complete our survival of the challenge, in our eyes! If you haven't already checked them out, you sure should do!

…*Pant* *pant*…

We have enjoyed it hugely and simply cannot WAIT for next year's challenge!

We'd also like to let you guys know that we're now working with TWO (yes two, not one, but TWO) FANTASTIC pet-related companies, to shout about their products to the world out there through our blog, basically to promote great pet things happening, and pets and their pet-loving owners having great things, great lives, and great pet/owner relationships together.

Even before starting our new page about us working with companies to promote them, I was asked to help promote FulCrum Gallery's Pet Artwork, which I was thrilled about! Being a bit of a dog artist myself, I love promoting the work from FulCrum. You should really check them out - just click on their photo below, or their link above!

What a cute, stylish and professional way of showing your love of animals ion your very own home? With pieces of almost every pet, there's something that is sure to tickle the fancy of any pet lover!

Some of their pieces of fabulous artwork:

Sit down, put your paws up, put the kettle on, and browse FulCrum!

See more on their website or on our Shouting about it page!

We are ALSO working with Highlands Pet Supply Company, a company that is more than dedicated to pets having happy, healthy lives, and having everything they could possibly want. They really thought we here at EW could help to positively support and encourage their company on! They have many, MANY great things on their blog, Canine Concepts, including products, articles, and things to do with your dog.

They've even included US on their blog! Just see their Links page, and scroll down a little and you'll find us!

They offer loads on their blog + website - (click image for site, Canine Concepts for blog).

Our favourite feature is their Places to go and Things to do with your Pet section! They offer so much to do with your four-legged friends, its unbelievable!

And these little lovelies support the section!

Go check them out right now! For definite!

So, do you want to advertise your pet-related product/company/website etc with us? We accept anything pet-related! Its free of charge on your part - its for the love of pets, not money!

Story

Hi, Jenna! Please could you introduce us to your dogs?

I have three Siberian huskies who are my LIFE!
Mika, Lexus and Koda.
They are each so unique and love to do different things with me, but one thing they agree on is WALKS!

What do you love to do with your dogs?

They all look forward to our evening walks. And if I do not walk them right on time, they will howl and talk to me, and bite their leashes until we get out the door!!!

How do the pack inspire you when it comes to blogging?

My huskies inspired me to start blogging. I just had to share them with the world.
My blog is called Love is being owned by a husky. (ownedbyahusky.blogspot.ca)
I am never worried about never having anything to blog about

How do the pack inspire you in your day-to-day life?

They inspire me on a daily basis. Whether they are just playing around, or doing something so intelligent it blows my mind! Or for that matter, even doing something so goofy it blows my mind!
Life would not be the same without my huskies, and I never forget how lucky I am to be OWNED by them.

Wow! It seems you and your dogs are very close indeed. It was lovely talking to you Jenna!

I would highly recommend you following Jenna and the pack's blog if you don't already.

Thank you for writing in with your YOU! report Jenna!

We currently have no waiting list for future YOU! reporters, so email us at borderterriersruleOK@gmail.com and you could be next in line to star with your pet(s)!
