So, firstly…
Now, we're going to show you how to stuff your dog's Kong with the 'Cheesy Elvis' recipe! It took Earl 2 hours to get it all out!
So, what do you need to make this?
*The amount of food ingredients you need depends on the size of your dog's Kong toy.
Now for the all-important method of making:
1. Gather your ingredients…
2. Slice up any food ingredients to a sensible amount depending on your dog's Kong toy size. Earl has a medium Kong and half a banana and half the shown amount of cheese, plus one over-filled tablespoon full of peanut butter was too much for his Kong, and some unfortunately had to go to waste...
3. Place all your dealt-with ingredients into one bowl, which is a size which will fit your amount...
4. Use your fork to mash them up…
… And proceed until it looks a little like this...
(Oh, and I did give Earl a little taster of the currently un-frozen mixture…)
5. Now use your fork to squash the mixture into your dog's Kong. Fill it up as much as possible…
… Until it is right up to the top!
6. Next, lay your Kong on it's side in the freezer to freeze overnight or longer…
Leave it to freeze well overnight. |
7. And the next day, take it out and give it to your dog. This should be a long lasting, stimulating treat! Frozen stuffed Kongs last longer than un-frozen goods.
Now unleash the dogs and unleash the Kong!
He's licked it so shiny I can practically see my reflection! |
We hope your own dog(s) enjoy!

ReplyDeleteNom, we'll also try that!
DeleteThat looks like a pretty tasty mix.
ReplyDeleteEarl says it is!
DeleteI think it's great to give your dogs home made foods and treats. Mom won't stuff soft food into a toy because we don't have a backyard. That means I push the toy and food around on the carpet and it gets all over. moms looking for a condo with a terrace. Then i could have the stuffed kongs. Yay.
ReplyDeleteThat is sensible of mum.
DeleteSugar's FAVORITE! Banana! Oh! and you got Peanut Butter n Cheese. DELISH! Happy Tasty Tuesday. Golden Woofs

ReplyDeleteYes, and then we mashed it up. It can be in small chunks though. You could also grate the cheese :-)
