FitDog Friday & Paws Up - Food For Thought

Being fit and having a fit dog doesn't always mean talking about exercise and bodily functions, it also means having a good quality diet, alongside that exercise.

So today, we're here to talk about FOOD! Earl's most loved concept without a doubt.

Earl's much-loved brand of food is Burns Adult Chicken/Lamb and Brown Rice dry. He has been on Burns since a puppy and was and still is a very healthy canine.

Earl adores his food!

Earl, I can seeee, youuuuu!

So how do you keep food to its highest standard?

Make sure its always kept in an enclosed space, e.g. the bag or a container.

Freshen the food to keep it, well, fresh!

And, most obviously, make sure your dog is being fed a brand that you believe and know is of a high quality and beneficial.

But how on Earth do you know what food is high quality?

The composition of course, gives it all away!

The most important part of the food - what's actually in the food itself!

Try and avoid things like animal derivatives, cereals, sugar, salt etc.

Things like meat and rice are good ingredients however.

A good diet for your dog(s), alongside good exercise and other good ways of lifestyle, all take the side of a fit dog!

Stay fit and healthy!

We're participating in the FitDog Friday Blog Hop hosted by SlimDoggyPeggy's Pet Place and To Dog With Love- thanks guys!

  2. Earl sure looks happy with his food. You are right, it's not just about the activity, what you put into their body is equally as important and reading that label is critical - glad you pointed that out. Thanks for joining the Hop Earl!
