A To Z Challenge - O Is For Optimism

Having an optimistic mind raises your spirits and automatically inspires you to go on and try again, even if you fail or have confidence-knocking experiences. Agility is a good example; if your dog knocks a pole, focus on how well he did his contacts. And if absolutely everything goes wrong, move on and look forward to working on the issue and conquering it at the next training session or competition. Remember, your dog senses your moods; if you're optimistic, your dog will be happy, confident and perform well.

Earl

After all, you and your dog should enjoy being together. Remember to always enjoy the simplicity of spending time and bonding with your beloved canine companion who loves you will all of his heart.

SS - A To Z Challenge - N Is For New

Clean slates bring wonderful opportunities for a fresh start. Dwelling on past failures and negative experiences will only fill the present and future with unhappy times and negative minds. Start a fresh and take advantage of a brand new day. We all have bad days, and believing in a brighter tomorrow will help you to keep calm and stay positive. In dog training, starting a new day with a new outlook after a bad day will lead you and your dog to success in the future. Sitting and dwelling on how bad a certain training session or competition went will only sink you deeper into the pit of despair. Learn to move on!

Earl

Always keep going and believe that tomorrow will look up for you!

A To Z Challenge - M Is For Move

Not only is dog training beneficial, but it helps both you and your dog to move more, be active and take regular exercise by doing something fun and enjoyable together.

Earl

Training your dog in canine sports and participating in activities such as Agility and Heelwork To Music will help you both to move even more than regular training will. Even better still, participating in an activity that will work both your dog's mind and his body will satisfy him to the full. And you, of course!

A To Z Challenge - L Is For Learn

Learning is vitally important in dog training. You need to learn how to correctly and successfully train your dog, and your dog needs to learn how to respond to and obey your commands. You also need to learn from your mistakes! Learning from your mistakes will help you and your dog to grow as a team and experience more success. Look at mistakes, errors and faults as good ways of learning, progressing and growing.

Earl

Learning is important for progress, so you need to ensure that it is occurring for you and your dog when you train to ensure a successful outcome.

A To Z Challenge - K Is For Knowledge

In order to successfully train your dog, you must be knowledgable enough to do so safely and effectively. There are countless resources out there for use, and the more you know, the more you can apply to training your dog. Watching videos, reading articles and asking someone who is more advanced and experienced than you can all help you to learn more about training your dog. Not only will this result in a better outcome for you and your dog, but knowing that you are growing and advancing as a dog trainer is a wonderful feeling.

Ethel

Fill your brain with relevant information and knowledge and never be afraid to approach someone who is more knowledgable than you in the hope of learning from them. You will only discover and find out new information if you put the effort in!
