Today, we had another super day at Agility Nuts.
We got two 2nd places (both clears), a 3rd place (clear) and an additional clear (4th, but rosettes to 3rd)! Earl once again did really well! At a speedy pace, there was only a second or two between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd! If Earl hadn't have stopped to sniff a particularly interesting spot on the course then I swear we would have won that, having lost about 3 seconds!! Bless him. Every single run was clear however - the PAWsome thing is, he got straight back on and jumped that jump, no circling, no back-jumping!! I felt most runs flowed nicely, and the feeling of being on the course is great. I also had a busy time in between our own rounds helping the rings and ring managers, taking down times, taking leads to the other end of the course for the competitor to pick up at the end, taking in booking, giving tickets, and taking tickets to the scriber, never mind scribe myself! The most important job of all.
We did fantastic!
Look at all that totally impressive booty we picked up!!!
And I also got several positive comments on my handling as a young handler - that's a really lovely feeling, and it fills you with even more hope! Always try and compliment someone else when you can - it always gives them a nice boost for themselves and its friendly of you. It shows you're a caring person and not a sour loser, say, you say well done to the winner, when you didn't win.
Our agility career has led us to so many lovely, like minded people, and of course Earl to other dogs he can socialise and make pals with! Today, he met a lovely little girl Border T, who he had a nice time messing around with for a little while. It was very entertaining to see!! :-))
Now here are some Black and White photos for Sunday here in Blogville of Earl looking regally proud of his wonderful achievements…
You see how proud he looks?!
And that little happy face as he flies across that course? Oh, that just makes me grin my mouth off and away over the country.xx
Its also Father's Day here, and we would like to celebrate with you!
Dads are an awesome being - they are full of all the fun in the world! Earl would like to add, that they are even better than mums at rough and tumble, one of Earl's favourite games as a little terrier who's raring to go! So to all the dads of the world - spend the day with your son/daughter if possible, and both enjoy the relationship together. And just like mums on Mother's Day, dads don't have to be though of always in a human manner - dads can be dads to dogs, and dogs can also be dads to their bitch's litter. So involve your dog(s) in the day, too!
We're participating in the Black and White Sunday Blog Hop hosted kindly by our fellow friends Dachshund Nola and Sugar The Golden Retriever.
