Ethel, here, loves her grass running and playing. |
Not only will this type of exercise benefit your young dog when it comes to growing and developing physically, it will also keep him/her mentally sound and exercised. A tired dog is generally a happy and calm dog, so this is an ideal thing to do on a regular basis. Have a blast with your dog, ensure he/she gets his/her regular exercise and stimulation, spend time outdoors, and get some much needed fresh air, all in the sound knowledge that you're doing your young dog good and aiding him/her for a fit and healthy, happy future as an adult dog.

We are filled with muscles. Mom said it may be chubbiness.
ReplyDeleteSnorts,
Lily & Edward
Bless. Ah no, I am very sure you two are muscular ones.
DeleteSo true about the young ones needing to take care with their growing bodies. It breaks our hearts to see people out running with a young puppy as it could be causing life long damage. Ethel, you are going to be a speed demon from the looks of it!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I agree. Oh, you have it 100% correct there Emma! Young Ethel is going to be a *vroom...* dog!!!
DeleteSadly not to many first time pet owners know this. Ethel looks like she can really run!
ReplyDeleteI know. It is sad, I agree. She sure can. She is a true powerhouse.
Deleteits the same with Bunnies too,if they don't get enough exercise they get grumpy,xx Rachel Speedy's mum
ReplyDeleteBless.
DeleteExcellent information. We do limit our dogs when they are young so they can have time to grow and develop.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys. Well done and a very good job.
DeleteGreat info! Our vet tells us that young pups need to wait until their growth plates close before too much strenuous exercise. That's why we wait until at least a year (sometimes longer) to get on agility equipment.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! 100% agree guys. So do we.
DeleteJust like with humans, the surfaces that you exercise on make a big difference in potential injuries - good points here.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Thanks.
DeleteI know that running on soft surfaces is good for us humans, not sure why I never applied this logic to the boys. Thanks for the wake-up totally makes sense!
ReplyDeleteHehe. Glad we made a wake up call!
DeleteI find that most people don't know about not overexercising their young dogs.
ReplyDeleteAgreed.
DeleteIt's so true :)
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteEthel is catching some air! ☺ I love to watch puppies run and play.
ReplyDeleteShe sure is hehe! So do I.
DeleteShe's such a sweet little playful puppy!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! She is!
DeleteI agree, that's important to do not too much with a puppy... and it's great to see how much fun Ethel has :o)
ReplyDeleteeasy rider
Yep. She loves her running.
DeletePuppies & humans alike do better running & exercising on grassy ground as opposed to hard pavement ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou are right.
