5. I Won! Although we know who's supposed to be top dog around here, Ethel has some fun pretending she's older and wiser than Earl! In this hilariously dramatic exercise, your most patient dog will have to know how to 'play dead', and your other dog will have to know how to put their 'paws up' on something else. Ask your first dog to play dead, and ask your second dog to stand on top of this dog. Ideally, of course, your dog playing dead ought to be the largest and heaviest of your dogs. To increase the difficulty of this exercise, ask your second dog to step up and off your other dog. You could also ask for a full roll from your first dog. This exercise doesn't only keep your dog's entire body doing different things in different positions, but will make an funny and impressive party trick, too! It really does look like they've jumped straight out of an action film!
We hope you've enjoyed our series!
*Ensure you never overdo your dogs, and if either/any of them begin showing signs of discomfort and/or pain and unhappiness, stop immediately.

OMG, that's so funny! Rocco will play dead but I don't think he'd stay there with another dog on top of him! He MIGHT be able to do this as the "top dog" however! What a fun trick!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Because Earl is such a patient dog, it wasn't an issue with him. As for Ethel, she enjoyed playing top dog!
DeleteThat's a good one!

BOL! He should be, yes! Sometimes, though, Ethel's young willpower and bounciness is enough to take over the entire world!
DeleteI wonder if I could train Mr. N to do this with Sage? Mr. N would definitely enjoy being top dog!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you could if you gave it a go! Sometimes, the little dogs are the top dogs!
DeleteThe puppies do this when they're playing with the dogs and it cracks me up. The puppies will be 2 years old in a couple weeks and they still "play dead" during play time. So funny.
