Tricks For Treats & New YOU Badge & A Thank You

As we covered only a couple of days ago (see here), performing exercises with your dog is NOT pointless nor cruel. Performing exercises, for our dogs, is incredibly helpful for both their physical and mental health and wellbeing. This Halloween, if your dog doesn't enjoy going out and about seeing people all dressed up in darkness (something that can be incredibly dangerous, creepy and confusing for our dogs), doing some quiet and relaxed trick training in exchange for treats of their own is a much better plan for the weekend. Your dog can have his/her own fun this Halloween, in a way in which he is safer and more comfortable.

Have a brilliant time!

Before we go, have you seen our brand new YOU badge? Find more information on our YOU page HERE and email us! All those who email us with their answers are 101% guaranteed to feature on our blog!

We can't wait to receive your emails and feature more of you here!

We would also like to say a huge THANK YOU to the hosts of the FitDog Friday Blog Hop, SlimDoggy, To Do With Love and My GBGV Life for awarding us with the Best International Participant in their blog hop during the Fall FitDog Challenge 2015!

We're delighted, and we adore participating in the blog hop! Thank you again! We will display our award badge proudly on our blog.

We're joining our hosts SlimDoggyTo Dog With Love and My GBGV Life in the FitDog Friday Blog Hop. We send many thanks their way, and you can join in below.

  1. I want to see the video of the kibble getting flipped into Earls mouth. Very cute badge I will have to checkout your you page. Congrats on your award.

  2. Very nice job having the piece of kibble sit on your face!! Did you obey the "leave it" command or something else for that? Most dogs are probably going to be safest inside their homes as opposed to outside on Halloween night. That's where my pups Missy & Buzz will be ;-)
    Love your interview idea!

    1. He is such an obedient and patient little dog. Yes, the 'leave' command is incredibly helpful in exercises like this one! And yes, dogs should remain out of trouble this Halloween. We'd love it if you could also send in something for YOU!

  11. Hi Y'all!

    First, congrats on the awards!

Second, guess we're lucky...whether we're here or at the shore, we never see trick or treaters...guess we live in areas that are just too rural.

So sorry we haven't been around much lately. Unfortunately, real life has intervened.

    Y'all come on by,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

    1. Thank you! I'm sure it's bliss living in such a gorgeously rural area. And no problem! Come by when you can.

  14. Kilo the Pug loves doing tricks and exercises for treats - it is helping him be a happier healthier dog. He will be in his crate relaxing with a chew when kids come by but we might pop down to a party at his favourite indoor spot- we'll see if he gets too stressed or not.
