Ingredients you will need (to make 1 serving):
~ 1 egg
~ 1/4 cup peanut butter
~ 1/4 cup cooking oil
~ 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (we did not include this however)
~ 1/3 cup honey (optional)
~ 1 cup shredded carrots
~ 1 cup whole wheat or white flour
~ 1 teaspoon baking soda
Equipment you will need:
~ A far-sized bowl for mixing
~ Around a 6 inch cake tin
~ Yourself!
Method for baking:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 6 inch cake tin…

2. Combine the egg, peanut butter, oil (possibly vanilla), and honey (optional) into a large bowl and blend or mix by hand well...

Mix well! |
3. Now grate a carrot, place it in 1 cup, and add it to the mixture, stirring it in well…

4. Add the 1 cup flour and 1 teaspoon baking soda to the mixture…

Mix well, again! |
5. Once stirred in well, spoon your cake mixture into the cake tin. once finished, the cake mixture should look like the following:

Before placing in the oven, the mixture should look like this. |
6. Put cake in the preheated oven and bake it for 40 minutes…
7. Now take the cooked cake out and let it cool on the side for 10 minutes. Check temperature afterwards with your finger to make sure it is cool enough to serve up to your 4-legged friends!

8. Extremely gently, remove cake from the tin and place it on a plate.
9. Now for the exciting part! Lather peanut butter on the corners of the cake…
10. Choose a fair-sized dog treat (we chose Arden Grange Mini Crunchy Bites) and stick these on each spot of peanut butter…

11. If you wish, add some candles to light! (See 1st photo at the top of the post to see how our's looked!)…

12. Now you are finally ready to serve up to your patient (or not so!) doggy birthday partiers! Cut up accordingly if you want to make it last! However first, remove the candles once celebrated using them.
