Dog Vegas - 24 & 25/09/16
The dynamic duo did very well at Dog Vegas! At her very first show competing at Grade 6, Ethel smashed some extremely tough courses and proved herself to be completely worthy of the very top Grades!
At her very first show competing at Grade 6, Ethel won two of her Grade 6 Jumping classes, taking her halfway to Grade 7! She clocked up the fastest times in many of her classes after that, but with some extremely unfortunate 5 faults. Her (and my) mistakes were minor, including jumping off her A-Frame contact and knocking a couple of poles. Others were simply down to a lack of experience on both of our parts, and we will both improve even more so with time. To have almost reached the highest possible Grade in Agility at just over 2 years of age is mightily impressive; and that is an understatement!
Earl had an impressive 2nd and 6th in two of his Grade 5 Agility classes, which, for him, is wonderful! His happiness and confidence is brilliant, and I am over the moon that he is starting to love Agility again! Soon enough, he will win that final Agility class and triumphantly win into Grade 6!
I love them for always working their paws off for me!

Guess The Dog Breed Competition
Hello everyone! Recently, I was emailed by a very confused dog owner. Their shop dog, Pete, is a beloved rescue dog from a shelter in Kansas City, Missouri. However, no matter how many images they trawl through on the internet, they cannot seem to figure out what Pete's true breed is.
Can you help them out and guess Pete's breed while they wait for his breed test results? Enter the competition and have a go HERE! The closest guesser will win a $100 American Express cash card! Good luck and happy guessing!

North Derbyshire Dog Agility Club Championship And Premier Show 2016
Earl and Ethel were brilliant at the North Derbyshire Dog Agility Club Championship and Premier Show 2016, and, although my awful memory and sometimes wrong commands posed some slight difficulties for us in a couple of courses, we had a wonderful time and came home with a huge haul!
Ethel came 2nd in Grade 5 Jumping, 2nd in Grade 5 Agility, 3rd in Combined 5-7 Jumping, 3rd in Grade 5 Jumping, 4th with a team in the TAG Team Dash and 5th in the Combined 1-5 Agility Dog Vegas Qualifier, making her a Reserve again! Ethel runs her paws off in every run, amazing me in everything.
We also saw and talked to Daisy and Poppy from Paws Weaving; it was lovely to see them run!
We had another wonderful and successful weekend!

Agility Nuts Kennel Club - 03/09/16
Ethel and Earl had a brilliant - but extremely rainy - day at the Agility Nuts Kennel Club show! Earl especially gave me a wonderful surprise with his success, after not training or competing for months!
Ethel earned enough points for her Agility Warrant Bronze and now has her first Agility title: AW(B)! She came 3rd in Combined 1-7 Agility, 5th in Combined 4-7 Jumping and 8th in Combined 1-7 Jumping, with some incredibly tough competition!
Earl absolutely blew me away and came 2nd in Grade 5 Agility, after not training or competing for months! It was an absolute joy to see him run and look so happy in the ring; my soft, slightly stage-shy little dog definitely came out of his sensitive shell! I have definitely missed running in my 'comfy slippers'! I have hope that he will, soon enough, get his final Agility win needed for him to win out into Grade 6!
We had another wonderful time at another successful Agility competition! I have two extremely clever little Terriers!
