Thoughtless Thursday - A Day from the Viewpoint of our Canine Chums

Today, we'll be following Earl as we see what he sees and does on an average day at home. Of course he doesn't have many average days at home, with what we do and all. But anyway. This post is a real good'en for being real thoughtless, and just having a bit of fun with ya'll.

So, it all starts with *yawns*, and Earl gets up and out of his comfy, cosy bed. He looks back at it with a sigh…

I could really do with more snooze for my busy life...

Now for the great bit!!

Breakfast time for one lucky dog!

Now, before I get out myself, what's going on in my world today?

You know I really need a pee. Time for my pee post to become handy again!

Is this grass OK for my poopin' business?

Drink time! Gulp.

Now lets - FLAKE OUT!!

Oop! And up again! Walkies time.

Pee-mail on a bush not a lamppost? That's new!

And back again - but mum? You wanna play NOW? I'm tired!

That's a lot better. Tea time. More food! How I Woof it.

Now for some treats and snuggles from mum!

And now its bed time again, ready to start the next day!

So there you have it - one day that Earl rarely has! So a bit of a chill-out day for Earl to think thoughtlessly - or not thinking at all.

We're happy to be participating in another addition of Thoughtless Thursday, hosted by Ruckus The Eskie and Love is Being Owned by a Husky! - thanks again, guys!

Tasty Tuesday - Cheesy Block Ice Pop

Hi there again peeps and pets! Today, we have an immensely tasty recipe to share with y'all, that'll keep our pets cool on the many hot days.

100% recommended by hot dogs like Earl, its the Cheesy Block Ice Pop, especially made for dogs!

What ingredients you will need:

~ Some cheese (depends how large you want to make it depending on the size of your own dog when it comes to amount)
~ Some water (you have to part freeze the ice pop so the amount will not be specified at this stage).

The Equipment you will need:

~ A cup (we used a tall one, which was an old cup we no longer use)
~ A knife

The Making Method:

1. Gather your equipment and ingredients. Get your cup and fill it with water with the tap on middle strength, for about 3.5 seconds. Turn the tap off.

Do NOT fill this much as shown in the photo!!!

2. Now chop your cheese into chunks.

3. Next, drop about 3-4 blocks in the water at the bottom.

4. Swish and maybe even slightly stir your cheesy water around. This will give the water that extra cheesy taste. Leave your cheese in the water and freeze.

Leave this in the freezer until frozen.

Then, once this first layer has frozen, repeat steps 1-4 until you reach about one layer before the top of your cup.

Now…

5. Once every layer of the ice pop has frozen, apart from the top layer, which should almost but not 100% fully be frozen, eat a human ice lolly!

Yep - what a great step!

6. Once you have finished eating it, take the popsicle stick at the bottom and give it a wash with water. If it has had chocolate on it, give it a more thorough rub down for longer. Now dry it.

7. Now, get out your layered Cheesy Block Ice Pop from the freezer, and stick your lolly stick in the almost-but-not-fully-frozen top layer! It may not stay very well, but put it in the best position you can for now.

8. Let this freeze more. Then you can go back to it and move the stick to a more central position is you couldn't get it to be already.

This is a little too wonky. You can not gently move it central

9. Lets play the waiting game!! Wait until the entire Cheesy Block Ice Pop is frozen solid.

10. Take your doggy popsicle out of the freezer. Now warm it with warm water under a tap.

11. Ease it out gently. Try and avoid pulling hard with the stick, as this could come loose and fall out!

12. And now, the final step! For this step 12, hold by the stick and let your dog have a lick!

EARL'S TOP TRICKS:

1. Woofs! If your dog pees a lot in one go on objects you may not find oh so amusing after a large intake of liquid, then giving the entire popsicle in one go may not be a good idea. Take out of the cup and break up with a hammer. Give chunks separately.

2. Don't give your dog the popsicle if it is still frozen too much, straight from the freezer. Your dog's tongue could get stuck on the ice which would be a horrible experience. Or the ice could simply give your dog brain freeze! Aroooooos!! (In other barks, just too cold and not nice…).

3. Take the lolly stick out if you are going to leave your dog to chew and lick the popsicle alone. You don't want him to eat that or get it stuck in his throat.

Enjoy! And stay cool, dawgs!

We're excited to be participating in the Tasty Tuesday Blog Hop, very kindly hosted by our canine chefs, Sugar The Golden Retriever and Kol's Notes - thanks again, guys!

Monday Mischief - Joyous Times with Prize Monkey!

Hey there all! Well what'd you know? Earl and I have won again! Joyously! Another, wonderful, fun toy for Earl to play with indoors! (If it was taken outdoors it would get all it's fluff clogged with dirt and become wet and sticky…).

Its the Kong Cosie!

Woohoo! Earl gets excited and anticipates the inside...

He actually tried to pull it, tags, backs, labels and all, out of the box when it was opened to a suitable amount!!

He rough and tumbled with it and then *sag*. All this excitement and playing is tiring on a hot day especially!

Phew!

Another fabulous KONG product of course! But what dog cared about the brand and quality? Not as such Earl!

It's little tuft of hair on the top of it's head makes it even more adorable to the human and canine eye.

We're participating in the Monday Mischief Blog Hop hosted by Snoopy's Dogblog, Alfie's Blog, and My Brown Newfies - thanks again, guys!

Ethel is Our's!!! (& B&W Sun)

Eeeeekkk! I can't believe it still!! But the visit to the litter of possible Border Terrier puppies went absolutely super and exactly what we were hoping for from the breeder and pups themselves - which means little Ethel is our's - the deposit is paid - and we are collecting and bringing home our little girl next Sunday!! She is a stunner, with a lively but sensible temperament :-D

We can't wait for next weekend!!!

One of the most interesting things will be introducing her to Earl - I am hoping seriously that they will come to love each other dearly, which hopefully they will in no time! Its going to, all going well, be a magical time when they meet one another.

This ties into our Black and White Sunday contribution…

Now a wonderful week of preparing and puppy-stuff buying!!!

We're participating in the Black and White Sunday Blog Hop hosted by Dachshund Nola and Sugar the Golden Retriever - thanks again, guys!

We'll PUPdate you next Sunday when we pick the little girly up!!!
