The Young Kennel Club Autumn Dog Training Weekend Crufts Qualification - 30/10/16

WOW! Me and Ethel won the Young Kennel Club Over 12 Small Agility Dog Of The Year Crufts 2017 Qualifier at their Autumn Dog Training Weekend, qualifying us for the Semi-Final at Crufts 2017! I am over the moon!

Earl ran well and went Clear in his run, putting in a wonderful effort and having a brilliant time. He then came 3rd in Starters Obedience and performed like a professional! I am absolutely thrilled with his performance in a competitive situation!

Earl and Ethel then won the Best Family class in the Fun Dog Show that was happening! Unsurprisingly, the judge immediately fell in love with my little pair of puppies.

I am absolutely thrilled with Earl and Ethel!

Agility Nuts Agility Show - 16/10/16

Ethel and Earl were awesome at Agility Nuts, kicking off the Winter season with a BOOM!

Ethel came 2nd in ABL Starters Jumping and 4th in ABL Starters Up N Under (missing out on winning by one second...)! I ran her in her two Agility classes for training purposes and was pleased with her performances.

Earl - yes, Earl - came 2nd in ABL Novice Plus Jumping, 6th in ABL Novice Plus Power & Speed and 9th in ABL Novice Plus Agility! This little man of mine was happy, confident and really enjoying himself.

We had another successful competition!

Dog Vegas Agility Show - 08/10/16

Ethel was awesome again at the Dog Vegas Agility Show. It may not have been the most successful competition the we have attended, and although we picked up some minor faults in some of our runs, Ethel did me proud and worked her little paws off.

Ethel

She came 3rd in Combined 5-7 Agility and 2nd in Grade 6 Jumping! Her other runs were brilliant, even if they did include a couple of small errors that are all fixable in time. This was the first day of properly trying out her running contacts on the A-Frame, and she did at least get one. She was extremely close on the other ones, and I know that running contacts take time and patience to fully master. And, considering that we have both shot up the Grades extremely quickly as a competitive pair, Ethel is doing me proud on the more difficult courses that we are faced with. I can see that the future is bright for us; I just have to learn to be more patient and remember that the journey is just as important as the final destination.

Ethel's Agility Warrant Bronze

Ethel's Agility Warrant Bronze has arrived! I am so proud of her for achieving this at the Agility Nuts Kennel Club Show on the 3rd of September 2016. Since we very first started out in Agility as a pair, I have never felt as though this little dog could possibly be any more enthusiastic and willing. Impressively, the halfway point to earning her Silver Agility Warrant is extremely near. This little puppy is amazing!
