Ethel's 2nd Birthday Celebrations

Ethel had a wonderful 2nd Birthday on Tuesday and thoroughly enjoyed her special day. Thank you to all of you who wished her a happy birthday; she certainly had one!

One of her favourite surprises was her Babybel birthday cake! She found it utterly delicious, and kindly halved it with Earl! We sang her the Happy Birthday song, and she lapped up the attention!

It is more than obvious that this puppy is beloved! The colossal pile of her presents had her attention all of the previous evening!

She had such a haul!

She was also given some lovely and kindly birthday cards!

Opening her presents in the morning was such fun! They are incredibly good at unwrapping them themselves!

Spoilt much? That, yes, and 'infinity percent beloved' for definite!

Happy 2nd Birthday Ethel!

Happy 2nd Birthday Ethel! I simply cannot believe that she is two! In the space of only two little years, my amazing little puppy has achieved so much in so little time! I could not hope for a lovelier, cleverer, more beautiful or more awesome little puppy. We all love her so much, and she is having a wonderfully special day.

Agility Nuts 04 & 05/06/16

The dogs had a brilliant weekend at Agility Nuts! Ethel blew everyone away once again, running her little paws off in all of her runs! She came home with an absolutely massive haul of winnings and we had so much fun running as a pair.

Ethel won Jumping and Power & Speed, came 2nd in Jumping, TFO Jumping and Pairs Jumping (which we and our partners ran in the fastest time with an unlucky five faults) and we were given the Judge's Special award in Agility for a fabulous run that I redid her dog walk in for training purposes after she jumped her contact! It is important that I think about our Agility career in the longterm and ensure that she doesn't pick up any bad habits that could cause difficulty in the future. She then did a wonderfully perfect two-on-two-off contact on her A-Frame following the dog walk redo in the same run! Training in the ring following a mistake definitely serves well. Her and I had an amazing time and came home accompanied by a humungous haul of winnings!

I only entered Earl into two classes - an Agility and a Jumping - on the Saturday, and he went Clear in both of them! He may be slower dog, but he is reliable. He thoroughly enjoyed sunbathing all day on the Sunday, bless him! He had a happy and chilled out day.

Once again another amazingly successful Agility competition for us!

Earl's Agility Warrant Silver

My amazing little man achieved enough Warrant points for his Agility Warrant Silver in January, and putting it on display was only a recent thing... Haha! I am so incredibly proud of him for achieving this. It has been such a journey for him and I doing Agility as a pair, and on more than a couple of occasions it definitely has not been easy. The journey that we have been on has helped me to learn about success and failure in anything you do, and how to deal with the balance of the two. It is all down to Earl, and I am absolutely thrilled that he and I have been so successful. It is even more impressive for a dog that runs at his own pace... Haha! I have learnt so much from handling him; he has made me the handler I am, and I have so much to thank him for. Well done little man; you really are fabulous!

I hope that he and I continue to achieve wonderful things, and that his Agility career continues for a long time. He is such a skilful little dog and has so much to give. He always does an incredible job of anything and everything that I ask of him, and I simply could not be more proud of him.

Oh, and in our monthly Blog Hop, we said that Ethel's Birthday was on Monday. I have now realised that the 7th of June is actually on Tuesday, not Monday. Please come by and say Happy Birthday to the one and only wonderful little Ethel!

Pinch Punch Post - June 2016

Happy new month of June everyone! This month, we have a non Kennel Club Agility Show, Agility Nuts, this coming Saturday, Ethel's birthday on Tuesday, and a two-day Kennel Club Agility Show nearer the end of the month. We cannot wait for our Agility shows, and Ethel is all hyped-up and definitely ready for her 2nd Birthday coming up soon on the 7th of June! I simply cannot believe that my lovely little puppy is rapidly nearing the age of two. Bless her to the moon, back and beyond!

During May, we attended, participated in and succeeded massively in the Agility Nuts Show, did the same at the Nottingham Champs DTC Agility Show, had Ethel hand-stripped and hand-stripped Earl myself at home. Ethel is really coming on in Agility, and, considering her young age, is succeeding outstandingly.

We plan to blog more frequently again soon and comment on all of your wonderful blogs. We have been incredibly busy, including studying, school and homework for me, unfortunately.
