Jenna Drady and her Siberian Huskies Mika, Lexus and Koda

I am really excited to start the (hashtag)mywritingprocess blog tour (sorry, but my keypad doesn't have a hashtag!?), and when Jenna first invited me, I just couldn't wait to hit the keypad and join a chain of enthusiastic bloggers like myself join and talk! What else do bloggers do but talk, hehe! Photos? That's a language…!
I just have to say I adore blogging. My blog started out as a not-so-frequent little personal diary thing. Now look at it! Its an award winning website read by 30000+ people! I mean, look what one and a dog can do with Blogger in just 1 year!
We recently celebrated our (late) blogging anniversary, and I was touched at the congratulations. 1 year seems like nothing to some long-time bloggers, but for me I am extremely happy to have got where we are now! And what's better than letting the world know about your lovely little dog and your adventures together? Plus sharing tips through what I have learnt being a first time dog owner.
So lets get on with the questions shall we? Here they are, and every Writing Process Blog Tour participant (participate after INVITE only - the invite will be off a recent Blog Tour participant) must answer them.
1. What am I working on?
At first I didn't quite know how to answer that question. I started out, as I stated above, as a little blog. And I mean really little blog. We weren't very well known at EW. And then everything expanded. I leapt hand in paw with my co-blogger Border Terrier Earl into the big wide world of Blogville. There, I have met so many lovely folk who I will treasure are friends for a long time. We are now a much more widespread website. One thing I am working on is bringing the thrilling sport of dog agility more into people's eyes, positively. That little dogs, uncommonly seen agility dogs like Border Terriers, who you rarely see running a course, can be real achievers in the sport. I want to highlight this with regular competition updates on my blog. That is why I particularly treasure my Awards and my Agility page on my blog. Visit them, and you can see how well little Earl does and other dogs also can do if you give it a shot.
Next question, please.
2. Why do I write what I do?
I write what I write on my blog because I love dogs, and strive to work with dogs as a profession. I mean hands on with dogs especially. And Earl, my own dog, is my absolute, true, 100% LIFE! He is what I dream about, who I do things with constantly in my spare time (besides blogging about him, BOL) and who I take photos of. Haha. I do EVERYTHING with my Earl, and I share it on here! I make an entertaining site on the net for people everywhere to read, enjoy, go 'awww!' at, and benefit from. I also look forward to the day I can indeed look back on my blog, when I am an old lady, and think 'wow, look at all those memories!'. I think memories are important too. I write my blog, therefore, to give enjoyment and beneficial advice at points and posts to my readers, as well as myself.
Roll on THREE:
3. How does my writing process work?
My writing process has changed very rapidly and sometimes dramatically over the year that I have been blissfully and joyfully spreading my words over a wonderful virtual page. I started out posting on random days I felt like it, or had something to post about, or something random I wanted to post a post about. Then, after the A-Z April Challenge, I discovered from my good friend Bernie The Frenchie about writing posts in advance, saving them as drafts, and posting them and if necessary, including a quick blog hop link and linking up on the day you set out to post it! And you can also be flexible and save posts in drafts if you have another, more important event to post about on the day you were planning to post that post. Sounds complicated, huh? Its not, I assure you, really, honest, I'm not even joking!!! I make weekends, when I have the most free time on my hands, to write up that weeks posts. It takes me hours, but its worth it, and out of 12 in a day, begin a pretty serious blogger, its not bad at all, and I love writing.
So that's basically how I roll now! It works for us, and now my blog has become larger, I am glad to have found a great way of posting on my blog for us. Now… Who am I choosing to follow the chain and post one week after my post today for this Tour?
Hawk and his human together |
Our first choice… Hawkeye BrownDog, the canine star of browndogcbr - a fantastic blog of a big brown dawg and his active, rural life. I absolutely love his blog. And I love his photos even better! Not only does his human photograph all Hawk's adventures, but even better, life that goes on around him! Scenery, wild/other animals… Its a wonderful blog enjoyed by a variety of people! Check it out!
Whitley and her adorable costume |
And our last but never least choice for the tour… Meet Whitley (human, her owner Kim), the canine super dog of fun, and her own blog Whitley Westie - a West Highland White Terrier (Westie) with a real fun attitude and zest for life. She shares all her woofs and doings in her humorous blog, all about her antics and her adventures to be envious of. Please check her blog out, you must read it! It will make you smile hard day after day, post after post.
So, we hope you have enjoyed learning about our blogging, and our 'chooser', Jenna, and our 'choosings', Louise, Mr. N and Whitley. As the latter 3 will also be posting their own blogging tour in the next week… don't miss them, by following them all right NOW!
And of course, let us all put our PAWS UP, 'cos its FRIDAY!!!
