Tasty Tuesday - Banana Yoghurt Frozen Kong Recipe

Hi, y'all! We have another PAWsome frozen Kong recipe for you today! I just can't stress enough how we ADORE Kongs (especially the stuffing kind) and how frozen Kongs with delicious food inside, some alone, some mixed, keep dogs busy for even longer than non frozen ones, plus the dogs love it!

And its the Banana Yoghurt recipe, today!!

Its still pretty warm this August where we are - so here comes another frozen delight that Earl, our family's fair GENEROUS food critic tried out himself.

Ingredients you will need:

~ Banana (depending how much on the size of your dog and Kong)
~ Natural Yoghurt (")

Equipment you will need:

~ A knife
~ A spoon
~ A fork
~ A Kong
Method of making:

1. Set out your ingredients and equipment. Cut the banana to your dog's and your dog's Kong's appropriate amount…

White stuff on top of banana - spilt yoghurt! Please excuse it.

2. Put this in a clean bowl. Now spoon out the appropriate amount of natural yoghurt and dollop this, alongside the banana, into the bowl…

3. Use a fork to mash the banana and yoghurt up together, until they are nice and blended together...

4. Use any tool you find works best at the following job, to squish as much of the mixture as possible into the Kong. Push it right down, and fill it until there is mixture coming out of the top. Neatness is never an issue - our dogs never care, and some excess overlay of the foodie mixture will just help get him/her into it that bit more!..

5. Wipe the excess mixture from your pushing-in tool onto the outside of the Kong to give your dog an incentive to delve right inside for more…

EARL AND ETHEL'S TOP TRICK!

Hi ya'll! E & E here today. Woofs!! Aroooooooooooooooos!! Whines with sheer joy and excitement!! Anyway, we would like to let you know to tell your human bakers to, when putting the stuffed Kong in the freezer, lay it on a piece of kitchen roll or thickish tissue so that it keeps it from sliding and doesn't mess up your freezer! Help keep the humans happy!

6. Put your Kong in the freezer. The ingredients used are human grade, but going by Earl and Ethel's top trick is a good idea and one that we, personally, always follow. It makes a lot of sense, doesn't it!? Smart doggies.

To start off your waiting (you should leave the Kong to freeze for at least an overnight period, preferably more) - and this is a vitally important step you know… - let your dogs lick the spoon!! After all, hasn't he waited patiently enough?

The ingredients used are good for dogs!

You will end up with a yoghurt chops, but don't worry, a dog like Earl can clean himself up
with a quick swipe of his tongue again!

Yoghurt chops is correct.

The following day, your Banana Yoghurt Frozen Stuffed Kong is ready and waiting to be enjoyed!

Now Ethel has been enjoying her own puppy bone-shaped Kong. We feel that her tummy is too sensitive to eat some of the rich-ish ingredients added to Frozen Kongs, so we simply stuff her's with her's and Earl's food, plus other canine biscuits and treats.

More on puppies and their Kong Stuffing fun in a future Tasty Tuesday! (We plan).

We hope you'll make the best of frozen Kong recipes from us while the summer lasts!

We're participating in the Tasty Tuesday Blog Hop hosted by Sugar The Golden Retriever and Kol's Notes - thanks again, guys!
