Today is a very special and important day in our family! Its the day of Ethel's first ever walk in the big wide world, and boy hasn't she had one!
We took her with Earl, because after all, in the future she'll be walking side-by-side with him, once she's fully lead trained, so better start as we mean to go on.
I made little collage to celebrate and remember her PAWsome day by!
She was actually quite good! Really good, in fact! Now for some photos, captions, and more explanations!!
The below photo was easy - and then it got tricky! We're still waiting on Ethel's 'wait' and 'stay', but she has a fine recall already!!
Sitting pretty and waiting for me to lead her out |
When she finally got into our front garden, she couldn't believe it was her's!! She pulled and struggled and just wanted to get it all out! She tried desperately to cover herself all over it, hehe.
Wow! Is this part of my property to help protect? Puppy Power! |
Now we hit the streets!
So many interesting things around me, she thinks |
Here the dogs both sit at the curb (my mum is handling Earl while I train and walk Ethel). They're both incredibly polite!
Facing the wrong way, but she'll soon get the idea! |
Now Ethel's first encounter going UP a curb. Steep for a little pup of only 11 weeks, alright!
*Urgh* what a challenge! |
Just stopping off for a bit of togetherness, gulp of fresh air and a quick pant, oh, and staring at two passing dogs.
...See that, bro? Yeah, I see it... |
Now some of you may not have a passing interest in this but to us its something - Ethel's first walk wee, BOL!
We're almost home now, so we pop down our neighbour's driveway and say a quick hello, then wave paws and we're off again!
So there you have it! A great first walk for my baby girl - the first of hopefully many happy ones to come.

Don't mind me, this is MY walking territory now, so ~MUST LEAVE MARK~ |

New people! |
The pair again, walking together happily. Earl really didn't make much of having his still fairly new housemate walk with him on his daily occurrence of walking.
Housemate-ly love! |
We then returned! Ethel didn't seem to have a care about going back inside though! She sure enjoyed it big time, and will look forward to more and more walks as she grows older. Fun!
I am staying right out here. Its so much more exciting!! |
