1. Cover your opponent's eyes. If they can't see the ball, they can't grab it!
2. Whip your head away from that of your opponent, the ball firmly clasped between your jaws. Although you may feel slightly intimidated when a snapping jaw launches towards your vulnerable face, the further away the ball is from their mouth, the less of a chance they have of winning it.
3. Pull your opponent's head back. This will automatically move their jaws back, reducing the risk of them reaching the ball in your mouth.
4. Be a crab and move sideways; your opponent won't expect this movement, discombobulating them entirely! If necessary, practice your sidestepping technique elsewhere.
5. Transform into a hovercraft. You're no longer a dog, and have amazing abilities of defying gravity itself. Only a handful of dogs can do this, and if you can, you have an instant advantage over your opponent.
7. Trick them into counting their chickens. Play games with them and mess around. Go one way when they expected you to go another. And, when the time is right and the chance comes around, run!
8. Humanise yourself. Reach up high; like point 5, not all dogs have such an amazing ability. Surprising your opponent will buy you more time.
9. Dance! Befriend your opponent. Have fun and mess around. Play games and enjoy yourselves. Loosening your opponent off may relax them, thus giving you a good opportunity to think of a clever plan in the meantime.
10. Never panic! If your opponent is successful in grabbing your ball, keep your cool. Learn the above advice off by your loyal canine heart and be prepared in any given situation.
Good luck... We hope you win your ball!
