Help with a show

Organising a fun dog show is something fun, sociable, helpful, and it really helps to get you more involved in the world of dogs.

You could mention a fun dog show to your own dog club if you are a part of one, or you could join a club with your dog or even find one to help with. There are many ways for you to get involved in even the smallest of jobs.

When you day comes, not only will you have fun with your four-legged-bestie, but you will be able to sit down and put your feet up knowing you have helped to bring on the success of the day.

5 ways to be a good volunteer for a fun dog show day:
~ Keep positive! If you keep your team spirits up, your (and your fellow organiser's) will power will take over and you will end up work even harder!
~ Help make your show as big as possible, and as big as you can afford as this will reel in the visitors and you will get your money back, plus making even more people and dog's day memorable.
~ Keep up - don't slag off one night when you should have been helping out!
~ Keep sociable with your peers! You might as well make show organising a way to make like minded dog loving friends!
~ Consider people and dogs who will be attending. Supply plenty of poo bag bins, and make sure there are competitions and entertaining activities for all age groups and skill of both owner and dog. Try and make sure there are plenty of stalls, and that you are happy with them. Make sure the site is safe and that any loose children or dogs are reported of over the tannoy. Any lost property is to be reported, and try to get someone on car park duty to make sure the car park is in order and everyone can park safely and appropriately. Plus remember to put up signs in the area pointing to the show.

Have fun! See if you can mention a fun dog show to your club or get involved in another one.
