Have Fun Keep Fit Series #1

Did you know, you can keep both (or more) of your dogs fit at once with some fun and impressive duo/team exercises? Because you can! Starting today, we're going to be giving you one duo/team exercise for you to teach your multiple dogs every Friday for 5 weeks. By doing this, you can keep your dogs both mentally and physically active, as well as having fun and learning some impressive tricks!

1. Paws On Bum! - For this exercise, you will need to teach one dog (preferably the largest and heaviest) to bow. As Earl demonstrates above, this includes your dog stretching forward with his bottom in the air. Then, you will need to teach another dog (the smaller and lighter one) to put his/her paws up on different surfaces. This dog will also need a decent sense of balance. Putting these two tricks together with both of your dogs should include your bigger dog bowing, and your smaller dog putting their paws on your dog's raised bottom! A funny and impressive exercise!

We're joining our hosts SlimDoggy, To Dog With Love, and My GBGV Life in the FitDog Friday Blog Hop. We send many thanks their way, and you can join in below.

  8. That is an adorable pose. I find it easier to teach two or three dogs at once. Peer pressure or something.

  9. So cute! I'd like to teach Barley and my parents' dog to do this, but Barley would never go for that kind of interaction with another dog. Can't wait to see what else these two cuties can do!

    1. What a shame. Oh well, I'm sure there's something you can do with them as individuals!
