Recent occurrences and Kennel Cough

Yesterday Earl had to go to the vets because he was coughing harshly and frequently. It turns out he has Kennel Cough, therefore will be missing two Agility lessons and has been prescribed some antibiotics and cough medicine. We are adding some water to his kibble to make it softer for him to get down, and are taking his toys away apart from the chew toys, as whenever he tries to play, it brings on a cough again. I will keep him stimulated when I feel it is right, because he needs rest. He is looking quite sorry for himself - dogs don't know why they suddenly feel so awful do they! There is a Kennel Cough vaccination the vet told us about so when he is fully recovered we may invest in bringing him in the have that done to give him that extra protection again the cough again.

His vet-prescribed medicine.
He will just be eating out of his bowl not his GREEN as it will make it easier for him and for me when I add water like in the photo above.
And before we found this out, Earl got to play with a few balloons which he loved and was heavily interested in.

They ended up popping... and were immediately thrown away.

Oh OK then.
We also received 2 free complimentary tickets to Discover Dogs as we are a part of the Kennel Club!

We are looking forward to Earl's full recovery and I will spend my full time nursing him back to full health, as it is half term this week.

Earl and I.
