Tasty Tuesday - Chicken Jerky

Well its Tuesday and time for something tasty from the homemade menu for dogs. This time up, its how to make, healthy and yummy, Chicken Jerky...

The ingredients you will need for this recipe:
~ However many chicken breasts you wish to use!

Earl's Tip:
Woof! Remember, my owner only used one chicken breast of the size you will see in the photographs below to produce the amount we did (also shown in photos).

The Method in words and Photos:

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit...

2. Then remove any excess fat from the chicken. Turn the chicken breast(s) on their side and slice them into 1/8 inch thick strips....

3. Now set the strips on a baking sheet...

4. Then bake for roughly 1 hour or more...

5. And check the chicken before removing form the oven. They should be hardish and not soft and chewy. Now take out and let them cool properly before giving....

6. Now you can give the pieces you want to to your four-legged friend. The pieces you haven't given, put in an airtight container...
7. Then store in the fridge and after 2 weeks of doing this, the jerky will be practically out-of-date. And finally...

8. Let your dog enjoy these delicious treats! Your dog will LOVE them!!!

Happy Tasty Tuesday everybody and let your doggies celebrate wonderful nommy stuff.

  1. Earl Thank you for sharing a nommy recipe that Momz can make here at home for me without a fancy dehydrator...That's a lot of jerky from just one chicken breast so this is a lot more economical than buying it predone and hardly any work at all
