Ethel's New Coat

Hey guys! Today, Ethel's new coat arrived. It was scheduled to get here tomorrow, but to our delight, it got here early! And just as well!

Why just as well? Well. Because, all day today rain has been, well, raining down on us all. That horrible, drizzly, pathetic-drops rain at some points, and then hard, chucking-it-down rain at others. Not pleasant.

This weather means its not as pleasant to go for nice long walks. And Earl has a coat. But Ethel didn't. And we didn't think it fair to walk her in the rain when she'd come back soaked through to the bone and cold. So we've had to rush out at any gap in the rain for the past few weeks. NOW, however, we can walk at our leisure, safe in the fact that both dogs are warm and dry, which results in a much happier walk and dogs. And me.

So, you want to see this stylish new coat?

Please bear in mind that this only looks too long for her because of her bodily position at the time. And we did not want her to grow out of it too fast - we've checked it does NOT rub on her anywhere and fits securely round her.

(Please do take in the caption).

Yep, isn't it just fabulous?

And its the same, sturdy brand of dog accessories as Earl's. It is a Danish Design coat. They do dog and cat beds, dog coats, toys, and accessories. All of super-duper quality - from our experience, highly recommended!

So, as we've only literally just got the coat, and only tried it out on ONE walk, we can't really write an honest product review yet - HOWEVER - we are taking this coat for Ethel to this weekends competitions, one on Saturday and another Sunday, at the same venue, but different shows. Its always so cold in those equestrian centres they do it all in, and the fleecy innards of the coat will keep the dogs warm, with a waterproof outing, and even a snazzy lead hole, perfect for Earl's competition lead to go through as he doesn't wear his slip there. Ethel, on the other hand, has her usual Gencon (I've put the link there because we like the Gencon experience - we may post on this later).

We think its just stylish, and the colours really compliment my girl.
