Sepia Saturday - Conquering the Harder in Agility Comps

Hey all. Well, today, we attended another Dog Vegas agility show. It was super fun! However we came to once again realise and come to terms with one thing - as today was our first official day competing at Grade 5 - the competition, courses, and course times are increasingly stiffer!!

But Earl and I came through all of this to earn us a fabulous Clear run in the course time and no mistakes, at the end of the day, in combined 5-7 agility, which was the hardest class of the day for everyone, as we weren't only against our own grade, but 6s and 7s too!! Everyone had a great time with their beloved dogs, at the first winter show of the, well, winter, in the indoor venue. Full of new horse smells from the equestrian centre, mmmm!!

Now for our routinely competition photo, followed my Sepia photos for Saturday which I co-host…!

OK, you're proud of me and want to capture the moment. But I'm tired.

Earl, you ran, but I ran the course before you a million times to get it into my head first, BOL!!!

Both dogs had a fab time, including little Ethel. They tried out their new antler chews that we bought them for today. They loved them, and enjoyed them in the car in between runs.

And Earl with his rosette shortly after the results had been shown.

He was so proud and looking directly into the camera!

We got a ribbon for having fun?? Cool! Earl wags :-))

And little girl Ethel being proud for his big cousin and housemate, enjoying an end of day walk around the venue's grassy field.

It was a lovely day truly had by friends and dogs all around!

I would also like to highlight a point hidden within this post today, after our competition - never give up! We've shot through the grades and hit the point where it starts getting a lot harder, you have to be faster, more accurate, have a better memory of the course (hehe), handle the dog better, etc. Well if it didn't get harder, everyone would be in Grade 7 and there would be nothing to work for - it wouldn't be the same! Just keep going, enjoy, and be persistent!

We're once again delighted to be co-hosting the Sepia Saturday Blog Hop with my good pal, fluffy little man Ruckus The Eskie - thanks pal!

All are welcome to join. Please share your best Sepia pics or videos!

Roll on tomorrow, where we partake in Agility Nuts - a non-KC show but just as fun, at the very same venue! See you then and we are greatly looking forward to reporting on the day had!
