Thursday Barks and Bytes Halloween Special - Pumpkin Failure? We've got it Covered!

Hi all! Today, we are joining the Thursday Barks and Bytes Blog Hop Halloween special, and we're super-DUPER excited! There is also a cool giveaway happening over at our hosts' blogs - scroll to the bottom of this post and find out who and the links!

Right then. Lets start on a more disappointing note - you know that PAWsome gigantic pumpkin we bought? (If not, see it HERE) Well, it looks like we jumped in there too early when we brought it home, because it our garage, it has gone mouldy, slightly rotten and soft. Its on the brink of collapse. So that poor, whooper of a pumpkin is, very sadly, no more.

Earl stands by the pumpkin's grave……… (the dustbin, unfortunately…)…..

But not to worry! We have it 100% covered so that we can still celebrate the traditional way tomorrow! And it involved rushing to the supermarket nearest us with the best condition pumpkins as an emergency visit!

What a brilliant idea the Borders came up with, and what a fast pace they came up with it and put it into action at, too! This lil' guy is smaller than our original pumpkin, however will do just fine in holding up the spirits and making Howl-O-Ween special again this year.

We're absolutely delighted to be joining 2 Brown Dawgs and Heart Like a Dog for the Thursday Barks and Bytes Blog Hop - but today, the Halloween special edition!!

  1. Oh no! That has happened to us before and one time we left our pumpkin (not yet carved) on our stoop and the squirrels chewed it! Glad you were able to recover. Thanks so much for joining the hop!

  5. Oh dear! I see your pumpkin doesn't have a stem? Did Bailie come by and chew it off? Glad you were able to get a replacement. Those pumpkins just don't hold up too well if you get them early.
