#ScoopThatPoop - Un-flushed gardens/streets

Its time for the #ScoopThatPoop blog hop, hosted by Sugar The Golden RetrieverOz The TerrierEmma @ MYGBGVPawsitively PetsLazy Pit Bull, and According To Garth Riley. These 6 PAWSOME blogs have come together to raise awareness about picking up your pet's mess. They hope to bring as many pet blogs from around the world together to help spread the word, in  a unique, fun blog hop!

We're joining along!

So when you see people leave their dog's poop around the streets… do you ever imagine what their garden may be like? You know you flush your toilet after YOU have been? If people don't scoop poop on the streets, imagine their garden, plus, don't you think it is quite like an un-flushed garden/streets? Imagine going to the toilet and never flushing! DISGUSTING!!! So why should people treat the streets, plus their own garden, like an un-flushed loo?! Not only that, but think how the dogs would feel! Walking around in their own and other dogs poop. And when leaves are about… how easy would it be for people and animals to stand in the stuff?!

Its really normal for dogs to poo. What is not normal, however, is people leaving such a dirty mess lying around the streets. Poo isn't pleasant, and it isn't meant to be! Its meant to be disposed of - its what the body doesn't need to have a healthy one.

Nobody should disgust, but unfortunately, some do. YOU don't want to disgust, do you? If everyone keeps and shares this attitude, we should get somewhere!

Does my theory make sense? Its just a way of showing how horrible the people who don't pick up after their dog make the public streets. And if that doesn't bother them… surely they wouldn't want their own property's garden to be the same? Scoop the poop and dispose of it, dog owners - just like you do when you flush the human toilet.

And if you don't pick up - isn't their even a slight tinge of guilt there?

It would be great to see some more interest in this topic. It may sound like a bit of an awkward, dirty subject, but isn't it worthwhile talking about, to spread the very important message to other dog owners? Wouldn't it be nice to see more bins emptied more regularly, more people use special dog poo bins not normal waste bins, and overall, more people pick up after their dog. The more people pick up, the poorer excuse people in that job have not to empty the bins regularly, too. Lets all pull together and make something happen! I am always responsible when it comes to my dog's waste. Lets get everyone on the good side!

  1. Woof-hoo, Earl and mom!! You made a very important point...people get rid of their poop and so they should do the same with their dog's poop. #ScoopThatPoop! Thank you for joining us and thank you for being a scooper hero!

  3. Great message! This reminds me of Bethany's post over at Cascadian Nomads. She actually figured out some math stuff to show just how much poop there would be in her town if no one ever scooped their dog's poop!

  4. Not sure if those irresponsible owners feel guilty ... just keep on happening and they expect others to pick it up. That is why it is important to continue to educate everyone and Golden Thanks for helping us spread the importance of scooping your dog's poop. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

    1. Its such a huge shame, isn't it. You'd think people WOULD feel at least a tiny bit guilty for soiling the world for others.

  5. Many years ago, Momma and family lived next door to some people who kept letting their giant labs out to poo in our small front yard. Momma got real tired of that, cuz she had 3 bassets poop she had to scoop in her backyard. So she starting getting a shovel and returning that poo back to its owners.... right outside their side gate. Only took one time through the gate and into that giant pile of poo (2 labs x 3 days) and they quit pooing in our yard...bol!!
