Thoughtless Thursday - A Netted, Rugby shaped surprise

Only the other day, one of our agility trainers picked Earl up a brand new toy for tugging! We're currently investing on attaching something touch to it so we can tug it properly, easily and more effectively. But he loves it!

… As you can see, on that night especially, he was inseparable from it!

We've christened it 'Holy', because Earl recognises names of toys to go and find/fetch if we teach him the individual names for them!! Go find Holy!!!

Weee! I got it mum!! Look! LOOK!

The idea is, eventually, when I attach something to tug it with (through the holes sounds like a more sensible solution of attachment), I shall first stick some sausage or other tasty morsel inside the holes, that isn't too small that it will automatically and very quickly fall back out of another hole again shortly afterwards. Then, I shall get Earl to try and get it out. Then, I shall tug with him, engaging in play. 

The overall aim of the literal game here is to encourage Earl to accept and love a toy as a reward after an agility run, instead of treats after treats all the time, as at present!

Soon, there will be a strap or something proper and decent to tug with, its all good...

Heck yeah!

A new favourite!

I always find Earl having brought it out of his toy box again almost every day now! It was a great choice this confirms!!

And games are fun for all!

They also get the dogs nice and stimulated, worked, enjoyed, exercised, and generally tired!

I think Earl is worn out for now!
