M is for Mum - A-Z and DIY Special of Tasty Tuesday

Today is M day of the A-Z Blogging Challenge, and we're woofin' happy to be combining this with Tasty Tuesday, where every Tuesday just gets tastier! We're also going to be strutting our creative stuff and doing some Doggy DIY with you today. And its all thanks to Earl's MUM - M is for Mum! Can't wait to share!

Om nom nom! Guess what I, as Earl's dear MUM, have made him recently in the food field?

Thats right!

A DIY Canine Treats Selection Box! A completely NEW thing!

Like this? You'll LOVE what follows next! Yep! I'm going to speak from the mum's mouth, and show you how YOU can make your own dog(s) one of these yummy boxes!

1. Collect a variety of your dog's favourite treats and cut them up into bite sized pieces.

They should look like this:

2. Now, put them all into a container which they fit well inside.

3. Next, move them around a bit and firmly put the lid on. Clasp the box with both hands so your fingers are over the lid area and the rest around the side and on the bottom if you are wary that the lid is not stable. If you are sure it is, any hand posture will be fine as long as you don't end up throwing the box half way across the planet!! Now shake the box not too vigorously, so that the treats are mixed up in more of a selection.

4. Ta-da! Now, you have made your very own, homemade Canine Selection Box, full of a variety of treats, making it more exciting for your canine(s)!!

5. Your box is ready to be popped into your pocket, bag, etc, and the treats to be taken out and rewarded to your dog at any time! Try not to be selective when you reach into your selection box for a treat to give… the selection is what makes the box more fun and interesting for your dog. If you keep giving a different treat, your dog will be more motivated to train, instead of just thinking 'Aw, just another piece of this again. BORED with it!'.

Haha! As you can see, Earl is extremely eager to see what treat comes out of the Selection Box next!!

Handy Helping Tip: How the box can be stored depends on what you put inside YOUR box. Be sensible and careful, and know how to safely store your chosen food items.

What did Earl have in HIS featured Canine Selection Box, you ask with interest and wonder?
- Well, we included chunks of cheese, divided up yoghurt drops, Thrive 100% Chicken treats, and sliced up Pedigree Rodeos.

Enjoy making, and don't forget to check out our DIY page, to seek how to make even MORE homemade doggy stuff!

The Tasty Tuesday Blog Hop is hosted by everyone's favourite cooking dog, Golden Woofs: Sugar The Golden Retriever, and top DIY dawg, Kol's Notes.
