B is for Breaks

When you share an active life with your dog, whether that be competing in a sport, or doing frequent training, taking breaks every now and again is always a recommended thing to do. You both deserve to unwind, doing something relaxing; make time in your busy schedule to unwind and enjoy doing so.

Today, Earl, Ethel and I took a lovely trip to the beach. We normally spend all our time competing and training in agility, and therefore thought it would be a wonderful, enjoyable idea to spend some time doing something away from this. The dogs thrived, and thoroughly enjoyed just being dogs. Running around and chasing frisbees around the sand as it crunched beneath their paws. A nice little break from the norm. And we all loved the experience.

Running loose and having a blast

E and E WERE HERE! And loved just being dogs.

It was little Ethel's very first time on beach, and she had an exceptional time there. They both ran free, loving every moment of this brilliant day as a completed family. The day out will definitely be one to remember for a good amount of time. And if you want your dog to love the sports you do, including dog agility, you need to give him time off. Overdoing it will simply make him dislike it, and taking breaks will make him want to do it again when you return. So all in all, breaks are a huge part of training!

This beach babe had a cool experience; her first ever time on a beach!
