Thursday Barks And Bytes - P@H Travel Water Bottle/Bowl - PRODUCT REVIEW & New Partner!

Hi, y'all! Today, we have a PAWsome product review for you… and its on the Pets At Home, Travel Water Bottle/Bowl, designed for pets on their travels and elsewhere!

The Travel Water Bottle/Bowl by Pets At Home is a 2-in-1 product, and includes an attachable water bottle onto a similar shaped bowl. It is aimed at pets who travel and is supposed to be great for storing easily, especially on travels. For me, the idea is PAWfectly PAWsome - but does the actual making of the product live up to initial expectations?

Pets At Home is a real gold mine for us pet lovers and owners - and once again, they have on sale a product with an amazing idea behind it.

The travel bowl comes in a few different colours, and we have the blue version. You can also purchase a similar bottle from P@H, from the brand of PetGear, HERE.

We have so far used this product for agility training, and plan to use it for future competitions.

Pros:

~ Easy to use
~ Good shape for multiple dogs drinking
~ Bottle with good flow of water when pouring
~ Screw lid is nice and tight
~ Good belt attachment
~ Good pouring facility in end of lid
~ Lid forces NO water out when screwed together

Cons:

~ Leaky
~ Slow trickle when squeezing bottle
~ Hard to stand up

Features

The P@H Travel Water Bottle/Bowl has many features. It has stumpy legs on the bottom so you can easily lay it down, a slip in which you can attach to your belt or other clothing, a screw in bottle to an in-built lid, and a pouring facility on the end of the lid.

The Bottle/Bowl comes with two parts...

The bowl part...

…And the bottle part, which both screw together.

We've found that the bottle pours very slowly...

But fills up to the brim nicely. And when you put on the lid, it doesn't force any water out! Great!

The lid screws to the bottle top.

Just tip it up...

Squeeze once...

And squeeze hard several times again for a full bowl!

Personal Experience(s)

We have personally found this quite handy to use, mostly because its all attached, and instead of carrying a bottle and bowl separately, you just carry the travel!

Its great for dogs who travel, no matter where, and for dogs on hot days away from tap or other easy accessible water features.

Also great for Earl as he dislikes drinking from other people's bowls, e.g. the ones put out at dog-friendly destinations!

Overall

Overall, the idea behind the product is PAWsomely PAWfect, however, there are a few minor little things that make the product sometimes annoying and time-consuming to use. But it is still good to use, and handy, especially in our circumstances.

I grant this product…

A four and a half paw rating! Not bad at all, not bad.

This has been another Earl's World! doggy product review!

We're participating in the Thursday Barks And Bytes Blog Hop, hosted by 2 Brown Dawgs and Heart Like A Dog - thanks again, guys!

We have also gained a new partner we're now working with online!

Tina Chi Home Handmade Wool Animals sent me a shout via email about her little business and commented on how much she loved Earl and our blog! She showed me a few of her little wool dogs and I was so impressed I insisted I advertised her business! I was grated her enthusiastic permission and am now happy to be working with her to promote her work. Her little wool animals are great for dog lovers and other animal lovers! They'd make the PAWfect gift.

  1. We have that water bottle, but rarely use it. It works okay, but it is a bit cumbersome to haul around we found. On the other hand, those wool pets area adorable!

  4. I did have one of those travel bottles for Sampson a while ago. He would not drink from the tray, just the bottle! LOL I found it to be leaky myself as well. Which is why we no longer have it. ;-)

Thanks so much for joining the blog hop!

  5. Our shelties are incredibly tough drinkers. If it isn't their bowl at home, they don't want it. We have one of these, but have taken to packing an empty water botttle and one of the many bowls we have around the house with us when we are out. Even then its hard to get them to drink, but its worth a shot.

  7. That looks like a good product, great for hikes! Momma has something very similar for me, but it's called a gulpy waterbottle. As a matter of fact, she has two of them!

  8. Hmmm, I think I have seen that water bottle/bowl before Earl, maybe at the store or something...but since I have like 3 travel bowls Ma said "no more"! What a shame that it is a bit leaky...that would be a slight problem. How nice you have a new online partner...those little doggies are just too cute!

  10. I have one like that, but I refused to drink from it LOL. Now I have to have a separate fold up bowl and a bottle of water, not as convenient but I prefer it.

  13. Thanks for writing the review of the water bottle. I have seen them in the store and always wondered about them for Veruca and Ava. Their snouts are pretty long so the dish may not be the best fit for them. But I am willing to try.

  14. We have quite a few of those but now our park has a water fountain we just take a collapsible bowl which is far more handy. We still take ours though on other trip and would not be without it. Have a fabulous Friday.
